Lailatul Qadr - The Night Of Seeking Allahs Forgiveness, Mercy

Salvation is about to end after mercy and forgiveness. The holy month of Ramadan is about to say goodbye. Today Tuesday is the 26th fast. The holy Lailatul Qadr or Shabak Qadr is being celebrated across the country today.

Lailatul Qadr or Shabakdar means night of honor and dignity. According to Islamic Shari'a, it is one of the most glorious and prestigious nights of the year. It is better than a thousand months. On this night the Holy Qur'an was revealed from Laohe Mahfuz.

Regarding this night, it is said in the beginning of Surah Qadr of the Holy Qur'an, "I revealed the Qur'an on the night of Qadr." What do you know about the night of grace? The night of Qadr is better than a thousand months. According to the hadith, the night of Qadr can be any odd night in the last 10 days of Ramadan. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Search for Lailatul Qadr in the odd night of the last decade of Ramadan." He also said that there is a night in Ramadan whose worship is better than the worship of a thousand months. (Bukhari)

Like other countries of the world, the devout Muslims of Bangladesh spend the glorious night in prayers, recitation of the Qur'an, dhikr, etc. In most of the country's mosques, the Qur'an ends with Tarawi prayers on this night. After discussing the important issues of Islam including almsgiving, zakat, imams and khatibars pray. On this night, everyone prays for forgiveness from Allah for the errors and sins of fasting.

On the occasion of Holy Shabekdar, the President extended his sincere greetings to all the Muslims of the world including the countrymen. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. President Md. Abdul Hamid said in a message, "Blessed and holy Shabakdar gathered among us with the great opportunity to get close to Allah Almighty." On this glorious night, I seek forgiveness and welfare for the entire Muslim Ummah, including the countrymen, in the court of Almighty Allah.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in one of her messages, "Let us establish the spirit of Islam, the religion of peace, at all levels of individual, social and national life by avoiding all kinds of injustice, lawlessness, violence and superstition." On this holy night, I wish to Almighty Allah for the future progress, peace, prosperity and welfare of the beloved motherland Bangladesh and the Muslim world.
