Medical admission test result published 2024

The results of the medical admission test for the academic year 2023-24 have been published. Health and Family Welfare Minister Professor Samanta Lal Sen officially announced the result at a press conference organized at the conference room of the Directorate of Health Education at 2 o'clock on Sunday (February 11). The press conference was organized on the occasion of the release of the results. 47.82 percent of applicants passed.

Before this, the exam was held last Friday (February 9) from 10 am to 11 pm. The exam was held simultaneously at 44 venues in 19 centers for an hour. This time 1 lakh 4 thousand 374 people applied for admission for 11 thousand 675 seats of 104 medical colleges in public and private.

In this year's written admission test, 100 questions were conducted with 1 mark each for a total of 100 marks (as per HSC or equivalent syllabus). 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the written examination. Score less than 40 marks in the written test will be considered as failed. Any student scoring less than 40 marks in the entrance test will not be considered eligible for admission.

Apart from this, 10 marks have been deducted for the second time admission aspirants who are admitted in public and private medical and dental colleges. In this academic year, the district quota was canceled in the admission test. If the seats in Muktijoddha quota are not filled within the stipulated time, ordinary students will get admission in those seats.

Many take the exam a second time to get admission in medical colleges. If you get a chance to get admission in a better place next time, the previous seat becomes vacant. It wastes government money. In order to be strict in this regard, there is a discussion about the cut off of 15 marks for the second time aspirants who are admitted in medical and dental. After everyone's advice, it was decided to cut 10 marks. This decision has been taken to discourage the entrance exam for the second time.

However, the decision of deducting 5 marks for the students who are not admitted in public and private medical and dental colleges for the second time remains in place. It is known that 20 percent of the total medical seats are allotted to the students who applied in the district quota. Students are not getting this opportunity in the academic year 2023-24.

There are 5380 seats in 37 government medical colleges and 6295 seats in 67 private medical colleges. Meanwhile, students can know the exam results in three ways. The result will be known through the website and SMS of the Department of Health.

Besides, the students who have passed will be informed about the result through short messages on their mobile phones. The result will be available on the mobile phone number given at the time of application.
