Bangladesh girls beat India to win the U-16 SAFF Championship title. The Red Green representatives won the tiebreaker 3-2. Bangladesh goalkeeper Yarjan blocked three Indian shots in the tiebreaker.

Bangladesh and India will meet in the final at the Anfa Complex in Kathmandu, Nepal on Sunday (March 10). At the beginning of the match, Bangladesh sat down after scoring a goal. Anushka Kumari gave India the lead in the fifth minute. Desperate to repay the goal, Bangladesh could not repay it at all. As a result, Bangladesh went into the break from behind.

Bangladesh redeemed the goal by going to the second goal. In the 71st minute of the match, Miriam’s goal equalized the Bangladeshi girls. Matches with no more goals in the allotted time will be made into tiebreakers.

Bangladesh did not start well in the tiebreaker. The first shot was taken by Surbhi Akand, the ‘Vharsa’ of the team. However, his shot was turned away by the Indian goalkeeper. On the other hand, India scored in the first shot.

However, goalkeeper Yarjan was the architect of Bangladesh’s victory in the final. He blocked three shots from India’s Alina, Bonifilia and Devyani. Saiful Bari Titu’s team celebrated by winning 3-2. Alpi failed to score for Red Green in the tiebreaker. His shot bounced off the goal post.
